In one of Germany´s most densely populated areas this factory was for a long time at home. The whole city quarter was warmly smelling. For a lot of people this was part of their childhood and in most cases also the employer. The brand name is well known in Germany. As it allways is with old factories, there is a point in time when you have to decide rip it down and start new or leave the place and start new somewhere else. So did the company. Attractive offers in the German area of Thüringen lead the management to abandon the place in 2003. Since then the factory is deserted.
Today the place is very run down even it is only few years abandoned. It is a huge place and only very few things have been left. Your decision if it is worth to go.
In the first years entry to the compound was very easy. But after huge fire caused by a single juvenile, the place has been secured and once a day patrolled by security.
