… lies deep in some french mountain area. A forgotten place by any means. A lost park and garden, a crumbling metal fence, all you imagine. Once a nice place well preserved but today the main building (manor) is burned to the grounds. Nothing relevant is left. Only the neighboring building with its privat chapel survived.
The villa was owned by the owner of a spinning company nearby. Once a thriving company before WWII, the spinning comp got destroyed during WWII. After WWII the former success was not reappearing and in 1969 the owner had to sell the company and left. Since then the place has been nicely decaying until recently when the main building burned to ashes. Still untouched is the neighboring building which is hidden behind dense foliage and can easily be overseen.
Not anymore a “must” for us urban explorers. If you are close by, have time, or be at Chateau Lumiere, then it may be worth to visit the neighboring chapel. The grounds are easy to enter. Fence is down, traffic is seldom.
